Planted like a clock, each wedge has a theme highlighting the herb's use or history. In the Culinary Garden, you’ll see kitchen favorites like thyme, chives, and other flavorful edibles. Look for the Quince tree, which produces fruit in late summer that is popular for making jams. The Dye Garden contains colorful plants such as Heather, Dyer’s Woad, and Senna, all of which have been useful for dyeing fabrics.
The Teaching Herb Garden encourages you to learn about herbs and herbaceous plants that you may have heard of, and even used or grown yourself, but you may not have known about its other purposes. Similarly, there are sure to be plenty of plants that you have never heard of before that you’ll get to learn about, smell, and see for the first time. Come learn about herbs!
